Nahant Marsh Education Center

We have partnered with Nahant Marsh Education Center for the past eight years! Every year, Nahant’s education staff visit our after-school programs and host our summer campers for field trips. Our kids, teachers, and staff always look forward to the high-quality programs they provide.

Many of the children who attend Spring Forward have never visited a natural area like Nahant so when they do, it is truly special. Our kids have walked the prairies, fished for macroinvertebrates on the docks, explored the trails and participated in hands-on activities in the education center.

Brian Ritter, Executive Director at Nahant Marsh Education Center, stated

“One of the coolest things about our region is we (nonprofits) aren’t in a competition, we are in cooperation with each other. Nahant and Spring Forward have had an excellent working relationship. The staff is incredibly professional and we work alongside them to create a great environment for kids. 

During the pandemic 2,400 science kits went to Spring Forward kids to do science projects in their backyard.”
